Membership sites seem a bit scary.  Is it okay for a newcomer to join 
in an active discussion?
Would my personal information be secure?
You might be nervous at first, thinking it's an exclusive site.
But don't worry!  There's no need to feel shy.  Anybody who fits 
our qualifications, can follow the rules, and support our goals is
ALWAYS WELCOME!

We'll explain about the membership qualifications, terms of use, 
and how to enter the site.

Field of Mugi is a membership community, and you need to register in 
order to participate.  This is because we want to promote free 
discussions among members. 
You will feel safe to express yourself here because:

 * Non-members cannot read your articles.
 * No one can use your articles outside of the web without your prior 
consent.

Do you think we are exclusive?  Not at all!  You'll be surprised to see 
how friendly our members are to each other.  As soon as you introduce 
yourself, you will be flooded with warm welcome messages from other 
members.

Field of Mugi is a website for present and future working mothers.  
In order that members can freely exchange opinions, we have
set up qualifications for membership as shown below.

Qualifications for membership

 *Present working mothers
 *Mothers who are looking for jobs
 *Pregnant women who want to continue working
 *Women who would like to have children and continue to work in the
  future

If you do not fall under any of the categories above or have no job
at present, please tell us why you would like to register.  
You can enjoy the guest pages without becoming a member.
Especially we refuse people who register for the purpose of gathering 
data, looking for e-mail friends or practicing English with the native 
speakers.  We limit membership to women only.

When you are enrolled in a membership site, you may be anxious about
other members' backgrounds.

Field of Mugi has about 200 members at present (our Japanese site has
over 3000 members) as of November 2000, and they are increasing  everyday.
Although members' jobs, ages, residences are widely varied you can still
find friends who have something in common.  

Moreover, you can get to know people whom you have no chance to see in 
everyday life, which is one of the attractive aspects of Field of Mugi.  
Because everyone is (or going to be) a working mother, you are sure to
be surprised that you can spontaneously talk with other members.  Field of 
Mugi is a membership site, but it has an open atmosphere.  So don't
worry and just join us.

Please use Field of Mugi in the way everyone can enjoy this place, 
refraining from offensive behaviors.
The articles are intended to be read only among the members. To safeguard
their privacy, we have set up the rules as shown below. Please observe 
the rules to prevent an unintended exploit of the useful information and 
comments kindly given by our members.

1.The author of an article owns its copyright, while Field of Mugi owns 
the copyright of the contents presented to non-members.

   SYSOPs may remove any article which they consider inappropriate, 
   such as defamatory, libelous or discriminating, on notifying its author. 

2.You may not transmit, copy or publish articles out of Field of Mugi 
in principle.

   If you wish to transmit, copy or publish articles, you should ask SYSOPs 
   for prior consent.  We want to avoid any troubles, which might possibly 
   develop to legal actions. 

3.You may not use the site in a commercial manner, including money exchanges 
in principle.  Also you may not exploit articles for business purposes.

   SYSOPs may remove any article that they consider excessively commercial, 
   on notifying its author. 

4.If you wish to conduct a questionnaire and/or survey in Field of Mugi, 
please inquire SYSOPs beforehand.

In case you do not observe the above rules or damage members, we may 
terminate your membership at our discretion. 

We appreciate your cooperation to make Field of Mugi an enjoyable and 
trustworthy site.

Registration:
1. Click Registration and read Terms of Use. 
  If you agree with the terms, click the Register button.

2. Please fill out the Registration form for Field of Mugi.  
  After filling in all the blanks, click the Confirm button.

3. Now proceed to the confirm form. 
  Please check and take a note of your user ID and your password not 
  to forget them.
  Then click Submit button.

4. You will see "The form has been submitted successfully", and
   a welcome message will be sent to 
   your registered e-mail address within a week.
   After you receive the mail, you can access the members' page.

Visit the Members' Page!:

 When you click the Forum or A Word or Two, etc.,
 another window will appear.
 Please fill in your user ID and password, and click OK.
 Then you can see any members' pages including  the forum.
 If you prefer, you can add the members' page
 (http://www.mugi.com/en/member.html) to your browser's bookmark 
 or favorites for your faster access.

When your user ID and password are not accepted:

 When you type in your user ID and password, please make sure you use 
 the correct case and spacing. 
 You can confirm your user ID and password at 
 http://www.mugi.com/en/error/member.cgi

 If you still cannot access, please e-mail 
SYSOPs(staff@mugi.com).
 with your name, your user ID, your registered e-mail address
 and your handle.
